Requirements

No prerequisites.

Participants will need about 20 minutes three times a week to complete the workouts. Some work can be done at home, but participants will need access to a pull up bar most days and a rope and/or rings on many others.

Description

Basic P-Bar Program

This program is designed to help Strongpoint members improve their pull up bar movements. The basic program will focus on developing the strength, skill, and coordination necessary to achieve/improve the pull up, toes to bar, and associated progressions.

Program parameters:

·Six-week course running from January 8th – February 17th

·18 supplemental workouts over the course of the six weeks

-Release via Wodify and only visible/measurable to members in the program by toggling to “Gymnastics” under “Program”

-Designed to develop strength, skill, and body control

-Can be done on a Mon-Wed-Fri or Tue-Thu-Sat split (ideally day on/day off)

-Some of the work can be done at home, but you’ll need access to a pull up bar most days

-Supplemental workouts should take no longer than 20 minutes/session

·Class on Saturday, 1/27 at 10:00 am for some hands on coaching and practical application

·Class on Saturday, 2/10 at 10:00 am for more hands on coaching and practical application

·Access to special Facebook group where you can see video demos of movements, post videos, ask questions, and celebrate your (and others’) successes.

·“Final Exam” on 2/17

Want to learn healthier habits and additional accountability to get you on track?

This 4-week challenge is for you! What better way to start off the new year than your very own Strongpoint CrossFit Nutrition Challenge! It will also lead us right into the 2018 CrossFit Open for those looking to dial in their nutrition and take their performance up a notch.

Here are the details:
Starts January 20th –
•10:15 am-11:00 am: Kick off Nutrition Seminar FREE for ALL members
•11:00 am initial body composition and fitness tests
Ends February 17th –
•10:15 am-11:30 am: Wrap-up Nutrition Seminar (Keeping these new habits for the long haul) and post-test measurements , and final fitness test

Challenge includes:
•Habit based nutrition program
•Individualized macro prescription for those that really want to dial in their portion sizes
•Weekly check-ins with your coach
***Daily tracking via new Wodify Rise platform***:
•Membership to Strongpoint Nutrition Page where you can read and share articles, ask questions, and celebrate your (and others’) successes
•Starter recipes
•Each person who participates in the challenge will be eligible to receive prizes based on compliance, body composition, and workout improvement. So it’s not just a “weight loss” challenge. It’s a “health gain” challenge!

Once again, the clinic on the 20th is FREE for all members. We want all of our members to have the information they need to be successful! The challenge portion is for those who want a little extra help, accountability, and healthy competition to help them achieve their goals. The challenge portion will be $50 for members, $75 for non-members with 20% of proceeds going back toward prizes for our top performers!

Join us for our 5th Annual New Year’s Eva! This brutal benchmark workout consists of five rounds for time of an 800 meter run, 30 Kettlebell Swings, and 30 Pull Ups. There will be scaling options available for those that don’t feel quite ready to tackle the full Eva.

Description

We will be hosting two bring a friend days in December! Members may bring up to two friends to any class on Wednesday, December 20th or Saturday December 23rd to try out a class on us. There is not need to reserve a spot in Wodify. Just advise your friend to show up to the gym 10-15 minutes before class starts to run through a quick health screen and waiver. Then just sit back and enjoy the fun (pain)!

Description

Our annual holiday 12 Days Disaster WOD is Saturday, December 16th! We will have classes at 8 and 9 am followed by food, raffle and holiday cheer. The workout will run like the song, 12 Days of Christmas.

Please RSVP to the invite in the Facebook group if you’re staying for food and bringing any guests to ensure we have enough chow to go around. The gym will be providing meats and sides. You may bring a dessert if you would like to contribute.
