Festivus Games is in its third year as THE WORLDWIDE FUNCTIONAL-FITNESS COMPETITION FOR BEGINNER AND INTERMEDIATE ATHLETES (No fire breathers allowed!). No athlete, whether six months in or brand new, will need to scale any of the events. Festivus Games is about capacity more than a high degree of skill.  Everyone can row…just how fast? Everyone can deadlift…just how much?

On April 16th, 2016 an expected 10,000+ Novice and Intermediate athletes will compete Worldwide, all on the same day, in this amazing one-day event.

The MANDATORY orientation meeting is January 8th, 2016 at 6:30PM at Strongpoint CrossFit.  This is where each TakeDown™ Challenger will receive their ‘CUSTOMIZED’ program and learn everything they will need to know to transform their bodies in 28 days.  Weigh-ins will be held January 4th-6thYou do not need an appointment.  Just stop by our location during weigh-in hours (11:00 am – 12:00 pm and 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm), to fill out a brief questionnaire and have your starting weight & measurements recorded.

How Much Will I Really Lose?

We GUARANTEE that if you follow the TakeDown™ Challenge program as recommended, the average challenger will lose 12-24 pounds and 5-10% body fat.

Join us on Saturday, February 21st from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm for the Coach Paul Training Systems Gymnastics Clinic.  The  clinic will include skills and drills to develop and aid in the performance of Handstand Push Ups, Muscle Ups, Pull Ups, Pistols and anything gymnastics-related. The goal of this clinic is teach the CrossFit practitioner how to move through a WOD more efficiently pertaining to the gymnastics movements. From Regional standard to local competitions, you will learn how to be faster and smoother.

Coach Paul Villarreal is the Head Coach and co-owner of CrossFit Sovereignty in Jacksonville Beach, FL. He is a two-time Southeast CrossFit Regional competitor and he excels specifically in the gymnastics side of CrossFit. A lifelong athlete, Coach Paul served in both the United States Marine Corps and Coast Guard before assuming his duties at CrossFit Sovereignty.

Join us for this six-hour seminar with Brian Carroll designed specifically to help CrossFitters improve their strength and barbell work. Brian is one of the most accomplished powerlifters in competitive history holding the third-best total ever at 2,730 pounds and all-time top ten totals in three separate weight classes. He is also a former world record holder in the squat with a 1,185 effort at 275 body weight.

This seminar will focus on evaluating lifts, identifying and addressing weaknesses, and building efficiency to improve performance, decrease injury, and add longevity. Brian will also delve into effective warm up planning, mobility, and how day-to-day posture and movements influence gym performance.

Brian will be assisted by three coaches from his gym to ensure that each participant in the seminar gets individualized attention. His coaching staff will consist of Jonathan Byrd (1,000# squatter and pro football player), Clint Smith (800# bench press), and Adam Driggers (965# squat at 220),

The seminar will be broken down into two parts consisting of three hours of classroom in the morning and three hours of practical application in the squat, bench press, and deadlift in the afternoon. There will be an hour break for lunch between sessions.

Join us at 11:30 on Saturday, May 24th for a three-hour Olympic weightlifting clinic focusing on the snatch, accessory exercises, and mobility. The seminar will include drills and skills to help develop the world’s fastest lift! Our lead instructor is Coach Joey Lippo, USAW Level 2 National Coach, and this former Temple football player has been coaching Olympic weightlifting in St. Augustine and Jacksonville for the past seven years. He has coached two National Champion teams and numerous junior weightlifters that have moved on to train at the US Olympic Education Center/Olympic Training Center. Joey will be assisted by Coaches Laura Davie (USAW L1, Florida Elite classification) and Ryan Miller (USAW L1, CrossFit Olympic Weightlifting) to ensure that each participant receives specific one-on-one attention throughout the day. This seminar is limited to 20 attendees.
